Roll the Dice With New VH1 Docuseries “RuPaul’s Drag Race: Vegas Revue”

What happens in Vegas slays in Vegas!

The queens are sashaying off the runway and down the Sin City strip for RuPaul’s Drag Race: Vegas Revue, a new VH1 docuseries.

The six-episode reality series will follow six Drag Race legends—Season 11 winner Yvie Oddly and iconic queens Asia O’Hara, Derrick Barry, Kameron Michaels, Naomi Smalls, and Vanessa “Vanjie” Mateo—as they prepare to launch the RuPaul’s Drag Race Live! Vegas residency, which debuted earlier this year.

In the new preview for the series, we see the six queens show off their charisma, uniqueness, nerve, and talent as they serve it Sin City style. But keep your eyes peeled for some intimate moments (is that Kameron and Vanjie getting hot and heavy?!). What happens in Vegas slays in Vegas.

As NewNowNext previously reported, RuPaul’s Drag Race Live! is produced by World of Wonder with Voss Events. The official residency announcement described the show as “the most sickening eleganza extravaganza in Las Vegas herstory. The revue is everything you love about the TV show and then some. Each live performance is packed with outrageous comedy, eye-popping fashions, over-the-top singing and dancing, heartwarming moments, plus twists and turns that will leave the audience ’gagging’ for more. The atmosphere of the show is interactive and encourages audience members’ participation, as if they were attending a live episode of the world-famous competition.”

RuPaul’s Drag Race Live! is an immersive, interactive thrill-ride for everyone who loves to laugh, dance and sing-along when a fabulous drag queen shakes her padded ass on stage,” RuPaul said in a statement when the live extravaganza was announced.

Go behind the scenes of the show in the new reality series, but don’t book your tickets to Las Vegas just yet. RuPaul’s Drag Race Live! is currently dark due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

An extended first look at RuPaul’s Drag Race: Vegas Revue will air during this week’s epic All Stars Season 5 finale, with the series premiering Friday, August 21st at 8pm ET/PT on VH1. Until then, check out a new teaser trailer below.

RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars Season 5 airs Fridays at 8/7c on VH1.

I write about drag queens. Dolly Parton once ruffled my hair and said I was "just the cutest thing ever."
