The fine residents of Detroit are currently being victimized by something so subversive, so wrong, so utterly unbelievable, we cannot help but worry for their well being -- a fake Ryan Gosling is on the loose.

Gosling is currently in town shooting his directorial debut How to Catch a Monster, starring similarly unfortunate looking actors like Christina Hendricks and Eva Mendes, and the geniuses at Mojo In The Morning, a local radio station, decided to dress up a Gosling look-alike in a hoodie and shades and send him out on the streets to throw the population of Motor City into a hysterical tizzy.

Why has no one ever thought of this before?

So watch above as the kind folks of Detroit are deceived into believing they have met the dreamiest actor of all time, when, in fact, they are just snapping pics with some other good looking dude who has never received an Oscar nomination and cannot count Justin Timberlake as a childhood friend and coworker.

That being said, this lucky bastard is probably having no problem snagging dates while the Gos is around, assuming he is playing his cards rights. And by playing his cards right we of course mean misleading strangers at bars.

After all, a little white lie never hurt anyone.
