Ryan Murphy Dives Into ’80s Excess And NYC Ball Culture In His Newest Show, “Pose”

Because he clearly doesn't have enough on his plate.

Ryan Murphy is running himself ragged: In addition to Feud, American Horror Story, Scream Queens, American Crime Story and probably 15 other things, the super-producer has announced yet another TV project.

Set in 1986, Pose will explore “the juxtaposition of several segments of life and society in New York City—the emergence of the luxury Trump-era universe, the downtown social and literary scene and the ball culture world.”

Sounds like American Psycho meets Paris is Burning. American Crime Story producers Nina Jacobson and Brad Simpson are on board as well, and while no network has been announced, we’re guessing it’ll land on FX. Vulture reports the show will star a “largely new and unknown performers” and premiere in 2018.

So you PAs might want to start grabbing Armani suits and fake cocaine now.
