Ryan Reynolds Is Remaking "Clue"

Over our dead Boddy.

There are certain film classics like The Godfather, Casablanca, Vertigo, E.T. that do not need to be remade.

There are also masterpieces that gay audiences think are perfection like The First Wives Club, Mommie Dearest and Mean Girls. Another example is the 1985 cult classic, Clue.

Not a success when it was first released, but the film has grown in popularity over the years with home video releases and constant TV airings.

Now, Deadline is reporting that blockbuster hottie Ryan Reynolds has inked a new production deal with Fox to produce his own projects, and the first on his list is a live-action version of the iconic Hasbro board game.

Reynolds is set to star in the film with Deadpool writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick signing on to write the script.

Who will Reynolds play? We doubt he can pull off a better Colonel Mustard than Martin Mull or top Tim Curry's performance as Wadsworth the butler.

Don't even get us started with who could replace the rest of the cast and top the campy brilliance of Madeline Kahn and Lesley Ann Warren.

Mrs. Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively? We don't think so.

We thought Fox learned its lesson when trying to remake camp classics after the poorly-received TV remake of The Rocky Horror Picture Show starring Laverne Cox. Hopefully they will rethink this and let the 1985 Clue live on as the true adaptation of the board game.

Just thinking about a remake has us feeling—well, you know...
