"My Friend Dahmer" Star Ross Lynch Tapped To Play "Dreamboat" Harvey In Netflix's "Sabrina" Horror Series
My friend Dahmer is now my friend Harvey.
Ross Lynch, the star of My Friend Dahmer and Disney Channel's Teen Beach Movie, has been cast as hunky Harvey Kinkly, in the upcoming Netflix series based on the horror comic series, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.
Harvey is described as “the prince charming of this dark fairy tale... the son of a coal miner, a dreamboat and a dreamer, completely unaware of the dark forces conspiring to keep him and Sabrina apart.”
Previously, Netflix and Archie Comics announced that Kiernan Shipka (Mad Men, Feud: Bette and Joan) has been tapped to star as Sabrina the teenage witch in Netflix’s untitled Sabrina Project.
Originally developed at The CW as a companion series to Riverdale, Sabrina received a 20-episode two-season straight to series order from Netflix last year.
Like Riverdale, this Sabrina incarnation will be much darker than the original comic series or the ABC sitcom from the late ’90s starring Melissa Joan Hart. It has been described as “tonally in the vein of Rosemary’s Baby and The Exorcist.”
Sabrina is set to premiere later this year on the streaming platform.
