Sam Champion has officially come out as a gay man, and even revealed that he is engaged to be married.

In a New York Times Vows write-up of the wedding of our pal Thomas Roberts and his new husband Patrick Abner, Mr. Champion "took a turn on the dance floor with his partner, the photographer Rubem Robierb."

That's not all either, as Champion then says, "“We’re [he and Robierb] getting married New Year’s Eve in Miami."

And Robierb then corrects him and says, “We’ll do it here officially, and then have a party in Miami.”

Gays, they bicker just like heterosexual couples!

Mr. Champion is the longtime weatherman over at Good Morning America and this announcement really should not come as a shock to anyone.

"We are thrilled and so excited and thank everyone for their good wishes," said Champion in an ABC statement.
