Of Winehouse’s limited catalogue, “Love Is A Losing Game,” is easily up there with “F*ck Me Pumps” and “You Know I’m No Good” as quintessential Amy. It’s contentedly sad without dripping into flat-out despair.

While Sam has long been covering Winehouse’s “Tears Dry On Their Own,” he decided to expand his Back To Black repertoire with a cover of “Love Is A Losing Game” on Annie Mac’s Friday Night.

The song appears on the Drowning Shadows rerelease of his debut album, out today.
