Sam Sparro Marries Partner in California Desert Wedding

The Australian "Black and Gold" singer tied the knot with DJ Zion Lennox.

Australian singer-songwriter Sam Sparro, best known for his 2008 single “Black and Gold,” married partner Zion Lennox Friday in a California desert ceremony.

Lennox, a DJ, shared an photo on Instagram Thursday, writing, "So excited to be marrying the love of my life tomorrow."

The wedding took place in Yucca Valley, a Mojave Desert community near Joshua Tree National Park. The grooms both wore black, but were the bands made of gold?

British singer-songwriter MNEK and Sharlene Hector of British trio LaSharVu were among those in attendance. Jake Shears wished the couple well on Instagram.

Sparro, whose singles include "Happiness" and "21st Century Life," released a holiday EP, Christmas in Blue, last year.

"I’m actually engaged to be married," the 35-year-old performer told NewNowNext in November. "I’ve never shared that publicly. I’m not sure why I decided to do that just now. He’s not in the industry, he’s a private citizen, a civilian. We’ve been together a few years and we’re really happy. We laugh a lot."
