Santigold Releases First Single In Four Years: "Can't Get Enough Of Myself"

And a new album to follow!

Fact: Four years is too long to wait for new music from Santigold.

Since her last album My Make-Believe dropped back in 2012, the singer has been busy headlining her own tour, opening for The Red Hot Chili Peppers and in her spare time, making cameo appearances on TV shows like The Office. Though she did write a song for Paper Towns' official soundtrack, but it didn't leave much of an impact. It did make us realize, however, that a new album from Santigold was something we needed desperately.

Thankfully, new music is on the way. The singer announced on Beats 1 radio that her third LP will be titled 99¢, and has an expected release date of January 22.

The lead single, Can't Get Enough of Myself follows the trend of self-love anthems flooding the marketplace, though it has the singer's fingerprints all over it. "Ain't a gambler but honey I'd put money on myself… I don't know about you but I can't get enough of myself," she declares backed by a booming drum line.

Produced by Patrik Berger, the song is, is for lack of a better word, groovy. There's huge throwback vibes, matched with her smooth, yet distinct, vocal performance make it an undeniable bop.

According to SPIN Magazine, the singer was busy back in September filming a music video in her hometown of Philadelphia. If it's anything like her past videos, it's going to be iconic.
