Sarah Michelle Gellar Confirms She’s Joining The “Cruel Intentions” Reboot

"Everybody loves me and I intend to keep it that way."

It looks like reports that producers of a planned Cruel Intentions reboot were going after original star Sarah Michelle Gellar were accurate: This week, Gellar shared the news that she was joining the cast of the sequel, based on the 1999 film.

On Instagram Gellar posted a Throwback Thursday then-and-now photo with the film’s director, Roger Kumble, and producer Neal Moritz.

“This picture was taken on the eve of production on the original #cruelintentions. Its me #rogerkumble (director) and #nealmoritz (exec producer), and the other is a picture of us now on the eve of production on the new #cruelintentions,” she wrote in the caption.
