Sashay Away: The Exit Interview, RuPaul's Drag Race Week 5 - Runaway Bride

RuPaul's Drag Race is going to the chapel... GONNA GET HARRIED.

This week, on RuPaul's Drag Race our plucky ladies all became honest women. In the challenge for the week, the queens actually got married to themselves. Seriously! Fortunately, we all got some fabulous desktop wallpapers as party gifts.

The contestants all looked pretty in white. In fact, I actually think a lot of their wedding gowns looked like they could have been at the Oscars this year with that whole pale/accessory thing going on. Best Drag Performance of the Year, anyone?

SPOILER ALERT: But sadly enough, one of the contestants we've come to know and love didn't make it very far past the altar. 8 Weddings and A Funeral. After the jump, let's chat with our dearly departed bride.

This week, Morgan McMichaels sashayed down that aisle to that great, big wedding chapel in the sky. A chapel that is just as glamorous, but a little less televised than RPDR. Here's what she had to say before she left...

I'm guessing Morgan's a Modern Bride...

How do you feel about leaving the show when you did?

MORGAN: Well, I think that I left way to early!!! I suppose it is a luck of the draw think though, and it seems that my luck ran out. However, the opportunity was unforgettable… and TONS OF FUN!!!

What was the biggest lesson you learned from the competition?

MORGAN: The biggest lesson learned for me was that even though I may come across as being bitchy, the truth is always better upfront and I am happy that I am that strong individual that can speak my mind without fear of upsetting others. Also, I have learned that that is not the case for everyone, and I need to take into consideration that people aren’t always as strong willed as me, and not judge them so harshly for it.

She came, She Rocked, She Conquered. Very Avril Lavigne in drag, no?

What would you like to say to the judges in your defense? Any parting points you’d like to make about your elimination?

MORGAN: I wouldn’t like to say anything to the judges except "thank you," because I believe that their critiques were justified. The judges say exactly what your audience thinks. I believe its better to hear constructive criticism, and it helps you better your craft.

Who do you think deserves to win RuPaul’s Drag Race? Why?

MORGAN: Well, I went in to this competition thinking that I deserved to win. With being eliminated I think that the crown should be given to my sister Raven. I met a lot of amazing girls on the show, but Raven is the THELMA to my LOUISE! I do think that the next drag superstar should be polished, sexy, smart and painted! Drag is forever changing, and I think that Raven is a chameleon, she can evolve with it. I know that she can carry it off.

A present is something you want to say, but just don't know how. In this case, "Bitch"

Who was your favorite fellow competitor? Why?

MORGAN: My favorite competitors were Sonique and Tyra. I got to lip sync against Sonique, and I believe that it was the best lip sync of the seasons!! She is a flawless entertainer. Tyra is also a force to be reckoned with, because her runway presentation is out of control!

What was the most difficult thing about the competition?

MORGAN: The most difficult thing about being on this show was being cut off from my friends and family, especially my boyfriend Dylan. I think it really effects people’s psyche. Oh, ya, and eating bull's testicles and cow brains wasn’t so much fun either! SORRY JUJUBEE for throwing up on you!

One thing's for sure... Our girl McMichaels's still got it.

What was your favorite moment throughout the competition?

MORGAN: My favorite moment was being chosen and walking through the door! It was a once in a lifetime experience. I got to share it with Raven and 10 new girls from across the country. We have now shared an experience together with the world, even if we loved or hated each other, we are now bonded forever!

A few quick questions about your fellow contestants:

Who’s the prettiest?

MORGAN: Well me of course! Who doesn’t think that they are the prettiest! I think that the girls this season are all very aesthetically pleasing.

Nicest?

MORGAN: Jessica Wild and Pandora Boxx, both very welcoming and friendly, have a lot of positive energy.

Morgan McMichaels, Girl Reporter, could always rebound her media career at some big city newspaper...

Shadiest/Meanest?

MORGAN: I think that all of the girls have a shady mean streak in them! Some show it, and some don’t. Be it in the work room, behind the scenes in the untucked episodes, or even in the confessional, the dark side comes out in all of us!

Smartest?

MORGAN: I think that Jujubee is the smartest, she sits back and observes her competitors just like a lion lays in wait for their prey. Then she does a show, and makes it one better than the fiercest bitch in the room! I think that her game plan will take her far in this competition.

Or join the circus...

Most talented?

MORGAN: I think that all the girls are talented. Some have had more experience than others, but all good in their own way. They wouldn’t have been picked to be on the show if they didn’t shine like the stars they are!

Most overrated?

MORGAN: Well I think that the most over rated girl is... ME ! I thought that I was going to win this lol…. Aww man!!!

Or work as a part-time tour guide at a budget safari company on the Serengeti

Complete this sentence: After leaving RuPaul’s Drag Race, I just want to...

MORGAN: ...meet and thank all of the fans and friends that have supported me in this journey, and go to Hawaii with my boyfriend for a nice long (no drag) vacation!

A Commercial For The Ages

Finally, what’s next for you? Where can your fans find you?

MORGAN: I am working on a lot of different projects as of now! Some are very hush hush! I am most excited to start traveling around the country to perform, meet amazing people, excited to learn from the drag queens from other states, and see what they can teach me and see amazing sights!
