Scary New Trailer For "American Horror Story" Season Three: WATCH
The new season of American Horror Story doesn't start until October 9, but FX has been teasing us with a series of spooky trailers. This one, launched today, confirms "Coven" will indeed be about witches—and not the Glenda the Good variety.
In addition to returning cast members Jessica Lange, Frances Conroy, Taissa Farmiga, Lily Rabe and Evan Peters, Season 3 
sees stars like Patti LuPone, Cathy Bates, Gabourey Sidibe, Emma Roberts, Christine Ebersole, Mare Winningham Angela Bassett (as legendary voodoo queen, Marie Laveau) joining the anthology series.
Executive Producer Ryan Murphy says Season Three will juxtapose Salem witchcraft against New Orleans voodoo: ”The witches of Salem, the smart ones, got out very early and they were none of the ones who were burned,” he explained. “They all gravitated toward New Orleans, where they now live, and every generation has a great witch who has the most powers of them all, and that’s called the Supreme. Ms. Jessica Lange is the Supreme.”
