The relationships of Will & Grace stars Sean Hayes and Debra Messing are going in opposite directions: Hayes just announced he's engaged to his longtime boyfriend, music producer Scott Icenogle, while Messing has announced her split from Nashville star Will Chase.

In an appearance on Ellen, Hayes called Icenogle his "other half" while sporting a band on his left ring finger, prompting speculation that he had gotten hitched.

The normally private actor, who appears on CBS' The Millers, didn't make a big announcement—simply confirming to E! News that he was engaged.

Meanwhile Debra Messing, now on NBC's The Mysteries of Laura, broke up boyfriend Will Chase, a.k.a. country superstar Luke Wheeler on ABC's Nashville.

The pair met on the set of Smash when Messing's character, lyricist Julia Houston, fell for Chase's, an old flame who joined the cast of her Broadway show.

After dating for two and a half years however, the actress' PR person confirmed to People that the pair has called it quits.

Hayes hasn't officially announced a wedding date as of yet.
