Former "Breitbart" Editor: Mr. Ratburn's Gay Wedding Is a "War for Our Culture"

Come again?

In commentary that's shocking to literally no one, former White House advisor and Breitbart News editor Sebastian Gorka has slammed Mr. Ratburn's same-sex wedding on Arthur, a popular children's series on PBS Kids.

On this morning's edition of Gorka's daily Salem Radio Network show, the ultra-conservative political pundit cited the cartoon as a raison d'être for his show, America First. "This is a war for our culture," he told listeners, according to The Washington Post, "and that’s why we exist here, on ‘America First,’ on the Salem Radio Network."

Gorka attends an event in Washington, D.C., in support of the Trump administration's wall to ward off undocumented immigrants at the U.S.-Mexico border.

Mind you, Mr. Ratburn's wedding—aired during a recent episode from Arthur's 22nd season, in which Athur's teacher, Nigel Ratburn, wed his fiancé, a local choclatier named Patrick—is as tame as it gets. There's no explicit mention of Mr. Ratburn or his fiancé's gender; his students only think the wedding is "wrong" because "teachers don't get married!"

In fact, the episode is even called "Mr. Ratburn and the Special Someone."

In a statement to The New York Times, Maria Vera Whelan, the senior director of marketing, communications and social media for children’s media and education at PBS, noted that PBS Kids programming is "designed to reflect the diversity of communities across the nation." "We believe it is important to represent the wide array of adults in the lives of children who look to PBS Kids every day," she added.

While Arthur fans and LGBTQ advocacy groups nationwide rejoiced at the long-running series's inclusive choice, Gorka insists that it's proof that "civil society doesn’t exist, friendship doesn’t exist, family doesn’t exist. Only permanent revolution."

That's a funny way to describe a cartoon wedding on a kid's show, but go off, sis.
