Sebastian Stan Talks Grindr & 'Political Animals'

Sebastian Stan may have played gay before, but he didn't know anything about Grindr until he was cast in Political Animals, USA Network's new limited series dealing with a fictional family navigating fame and politics in equal measure.

"I had to have someone explain it to me!" he joked at USA's premiere party at the Morgan Library in Manhattan last night, where guests sipped champagne and mingled with stars like Stan, Sigourney Weaver and James Wolk

Stan's character T.J., the first openly out kid in the White House, uses an app to solicit an anonymous hook up in his families post-Presidential years in the series premiere. On the whole the show is particularly racy for USA Networks, with multiple characters hooking up without much fade to black.  The series premieres July 15, but the cast hasn't even finished filming yet, with a 5 a.m. call time today despite their revelry. Stan promised us more scandal in the coming episodes too, joking that he'd open his script each day to read stage directions like "boy does lines of coke of T.J.'s abs."

We're holding him to this promise.
