On Friday, a gay couple was attacked by a group of men near the train station near 33rd Street and Sixth Avenue in Manhattan, causing both victims facial injuries and forcing one to undergo eye surgery. Two suspects–21-year-olds Asllan Berisha and Brian Ramirez–have been arrested, with three more still at large.

Reports indicate that, after the victims were denied entry to a late-night pool hall, they were approached by a group of five men shouting anti-gay slurs. The gang began beating the couple, following them as they tried to escape across the street, until Port Authority police broke it up.

It's not clear if the incident is connected to a separate assault on Sunday outside Madison Square Garden. Police have released video (below) of several people wanted for questioning in connection to that attack.

Berisha and Ramirez have been charged with gang assault and assault as a hate crime, according to the New York Post.
