Daughter Of Secretary Of The Interior Calls Trump A "Never-Served Piece Of Sh*t" Over Trans Military Ban

Navy veteran Jennifer Detlefsen broke rank with her conservative family to criticize the president.

In an unrestrained Instagram post, Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke's daughter Jennifer Detlefsen attacked Donald Trump for his ban on transgender service members in the U.S. Military.

"This man is a disgrace. I've tried to keep politics out of my social media feed as much as possible, but this is inexcusable," Detlefsen, a veteran, posted on July 26. "This veteran says sit down and shut the fuck up, you know-nothing, never-served piece of shit #itmfa #wtf."

Detlefsen and her father are both retired from the Navy—she served as a deep-sea-diving medical technician and trained personnel on the disposing of explosive ordnances. She now lives in Virginia, where she is a glass artist.

Zinke and his wife, Lolita Hand, have remained silent about the ban, which Trump issued guidance on on Friday. They also have refrained from commenting on Detlefsen's message.

Considering Zinke, a former senator from Montana, was sworn in as Secretary of Interior in January, and that Detlefsen worked for his Super PAC, her public lashing may have come as a surprise to her parents.

She has been threatened since posting her statement, and last week a gallery where her work was on display had a concrete slab thrown through its window.
