Cosmo Is Sending A Party Bus With Male Strippers To Get Out The Vote In NC

The newest plan to get young people to the polls? Get them on a party bus and whisk them away to perform their civic duty in the company of shirtless male models.

The mid-term elections just got a whole lot sexier.

It's all part of Cosmopolitan magazine's #CosmoVotes initiative:

On Election Day, a bus decked out with snacks, swag, and models (hi, this is Cosmo) will roll up to North Carolina State University, the winner of Cosmopolitan.com's first-ever party bus contest. The bus will shuttle students back and forth to a nearby polling location so students can vote.

The magazine is trying to evolve its image from sex quizzes to a space for political engagement and women's issues, but clearly it hasn't forgotten its roots. Cosmo hopes that re-framing Election Day as a party—and a sexed0up party at that —it can encourage more young women (and gay men, we predict) to vote in the often over-looked midterm elections.

Is it a coincidence gay American Idol-er Clay Aiken is running for Congress in the Tar Heel State? We can't say.

"This election is not a light matter here in NC," wrote Camden Willeford, an NC State sophomore who entered his school into the contest. "The weight is on the students of North Carolina State University."

But clearly not on those models.
