Shangela’s takeover of the airwaves continues, with news today that the RuPaul’s Drag Race alum is heading to the CBS hit comedy 2 Broke Girls. We think this is just what this show needed.
Shangela (aka D.J. Pierce) will be out of drag for her role, playing a male cinema employee named “Hallelujah.” And a Halleloo to that.
“As a comedian, taping in front of a live studio audience was a dream come true for me,” said Shangela. “And working with the show’s hilarious group of writers and actors was just icing on the cake.”
Shangela has previously appeared on The Mentalist, Community and The Soup and has a new web series Jenifer Lewis and Shangela.
It really is Shangela’s world, and we are all just living in it.
