The Battle Axe era has begun.
Just in time for the Halloween season, Sharon Needles has dropped her new album, Battle Axe, and a campy music video to go along with the title track.

“This record is an intentional departure from my previous record (Taxidermy) which was focused on love and love lost,” the drag queen of darkness said about her new album. “Battle Axe is my punching bag, my shot of whiskey, my overpaid therapist, it is my most aggressive project yet.”
“PG-13 was written by a pampered privileged brat, Taxidermy was written by a broken down love-sick fool, Battle Axe is written by a bitter, don’t-give-a-shit-battle axe. Me,” Sharon added.
Her new music video was directed by Santiago Felipe (who previously directed Sharon in three other videos, including “Ouija Board“) and features homages to ’80s camp classics like Mommie Dearest and Dynasty. There’s even a good ’ol fashioned knock-down, drag-out Dynasty catfight between Phi Phi O’Hara and Sharon.
If the album and video weren’t enough, Sharon is hitting the road to support Battle Axe and will also be coming down your chimney as one of the queens in this year’s Christmas Queens album and tour.
