Designer Geoffrey Mac is the secret weapon behind some of the Drag Race divas greatest looks, and, last night at the Out NYC, he and muse Sharon Needles launched their new co-branded clothing line, Geoffrey Mac for Sharon Needles. Scheduled during the height of New York Fashion Week, the event doubled as a premiere party for Needles’ new music video, “Dressed to Kill,” off her album, PG-13.

Needles, winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 4, calls the line “ready-to-wear street fashion splattered with controversy and nostalgia.” The launch collection includes gender-fluid streetwear like leggings and tees for guys and girls, T-shirt dresses, skirts, booty shorts, swimsuits, jewelry and even gowns. In addition to Drag Race’s resident scream queen, Mac has designed, constructed, and consulted for iconic performers like Debbie Harry, Lady Gaga, Ke$ha, Icona Pop and Britney Spears.

According to a press release, the new line was inspired by “everything from cocaine, plastic surgery, TV static, cigarettes and fingernails to serial killers, H.R. Giger and the Jonestown Massacre.”

Directed by Ben Simkins, the “Dressed to Kill” video (below) features an array of Mac’s runway looks. “‘It’s an homage to my obsession with macabre, punk street fashion,” remarked Needles. “In the past, when I lacked designer duds, I simply relied on my hot glue gun.”

The timing of the new line and the new video is hardly coincidental: “[This] video … is the first that demonstrates my maturity—without relying on nostalgic gimmicks or campy one-liners,” reveals Needles. “For the first time in my career, instead of making people laugh, I want to give looks so hot that they’ll want to f**k me.”
