Shiloh Fernandez Escapes A Dangerous Past In "Queen Of Carthage" Trailer

In his screenwriting debut, the "We Are Your Friends" star plays a pansexual drifter who falls into a dangerous love triangle.

We've had Shiloh Fernandez on our radar for a while: The broodingly handsome actor has seen his career take off with a lead role in the Evil Dead remake and strong supporting work alongside Zac Efron in this summer's We Are Your Friends.

But with his screenwriting debut, Queen of Carthage, Fernandez is taking things in a new direction.

The 30-year-old also stars in the film, playing Amos, a pansexual drifter who "falls in love with people, not gender."

And when he flees to New Zealand to get away from his manipulative sister, Amos falls for singer-songwriter Graham (Graham Candy).

Turns out that Graham's girlfriend, Simi (Keisha Castle-Hughes, Whale Rider, Game of Thrones), is not so keen on Amos's amorous feelings for her man.

How will the love triangle pan out? And how long will Amos be able to suppress the dark memories from his past?

Our guess: not so well, and not very long.

If the tense, handsomely shot trailer is any indication, there will be skinny-dipping, gunshots, and a lot of tears. Just the sort of melodrama we love!

Queen of Carthage is available now on Amazon and iTunes.
