Dame Shirley Bassey, 80, Wows With "I Am What I Am"

Iconic.

Dame Shirley Bassey just celebrated her 80th birthday with a powerhouse performance that reminded us that she is what she is—an absolute legend.

The celebrated singer appeared on BBC's David Walliams Celebrates Dame Shirley Bassey on Christmas Eve to perform some of her biggest hits, and that included the La Cage aux Folles showstopper "I Am What I Am."

Bassey first recorded the track for her 1984 album of the same name, and she still managed to deliver a chill-inducing rendition of it 32 years later.

The singer also performed several of her other hits during the broadcast, including the James Bond theme "Goldfinger."

Watch Dame Shirley Bassey prove that age is just a number with her incredible performance of "I Am What I Am" below.

And while we're in the spirit of the LGBT anthem, watch Ginger Minj and the cast of Drag Race All Stars perform it as a tribute to Harvey Fierstein from Logo's Trailblazer Honors last June.
