Oscar Nomination Shocks And Snubs

The nominations for the 87th Academy Awards were announced this morning, and while there weren't too may surprises this year, there were some noteworthy omissions and inclusions.

Birdman and The Grand Budapest Hotel lead the pack with nine nominations each, while American Sniper and The Imitation Game both have eight.

Biggest surprises:

David Oyelowo and Jake Gyllenhaal snubbed for Best Actor for Selma and Nightcrawler. With David's exclusion, there's not a single person of color in the 20 acting nominations.

Speaking of, Ava DuVernay was not nominated for Best Director for Selma.

Sorry, Jennifer Aniston. And Golden Globe winner Amy Adams. Julianne can start writing her speech now.

No Lego Movie, which was considered a shoo-in.

Really disappointed that the Roger Ebert documentary Life Itself was not nominated.
