Housing Works is known by many for their commitment to helping members of thye HIV/AIDS community, and every year they host Fashion For Action, an event to raise funds for the cause. And what is better than shopping AND giving back.

Beginning Thursday, and running through Sunday, members of the public can head to the Chelsea Thrift Shop in NYC (143 West 17th St.) to purchase wears from over 250 brands. And for those who simply cannot wait, tickets can be purchased for tomorrow night's private event and reception at The Altman Building here.

This year's chairs include Thom Browne, Natalie Joos, Patricia Clarkson, Dree Hemingway and Cat Greenleaf.

Housing Works mission is to end the dual crises of homelessness and AIDS through relentless advocacy, the provision of lifesaving services, and entrepreneurial businesses that sustain our efforts.
