Penny Dreadful's second season isn't slated to drop on Showtime until May 3, but the network has released the season premiere in its entirety for free on YouTube, to entice new followers to the macabre and addictive series.

Last season, Sir Malcolm Murray (Timothy Dalton) brought together a rogue's gallery of horror legends, including Dorian Gray (Reeve Carney), Victor Frankenstein (Harry Treadway), werewolf Ethan Chandler (Josh Hartnett) and possessed woman Vanessa Ives (Eva Green) to rescue his daughter, Mina (of Dracula fame.)

This season the mysteries, and the dangers, deepen, as Sir Malcolm returns to find a new evil hunting Vanessa.

Will Vanessa ever be free? Will Frankenstein's creation ever find love? Will Dorian and Ethan ever hook up again?
