Join Sia’s Holiday Initiative To Support LGBT Chosen Families

What does chosen family mean to you?

In anticipation of her holiday album, Everyday Is Christmas, Sia and Atlantic Records have joined forces with the It Gets Better Project to challenge understandings of family.

“The beauty of creating a chosen family is the ability to surround yourself with a community of people who inspire you to be your absolute best,” says It Gets Better's Brett Peters. “[Sia] recorded one of the first ever It Gets Better videos in 2010, and embodies what it means to be uplifting, inspiring, and brave through her art.”

"I believe everyone deserves to know that they are loved and supported unconditionally—during the holiday season, and everyday," says Sia, whose holiday album drops November 17. "I’m proud to lend my support to this project.”

Will you show yours?

Got Five Minutes?

Sia is asking fans to illustrate what the phrase "chosen family" means to them. The winning submission will be chosen by the "Chandelier" singer herself, and will appear on a limited-edition line of t-shirts and hoodies that benefit It Gets Better.

The contest is open until November 7. Submit your entry here.
