Sia Has Already Recorded And Named Her Next Album
Most of us would have thought that powerhouse singer-songwriter Sia was still wrapped in the cozy success of her sixth album, 1000 Forms of Fear.
Most of us would've been wrong.
In an interview with NME, the artist announced that she has already written and recorded a new album called This Is Acting. Hallelujah!
The new tracks were reportedly all written for other artists before Sia decided to sing them herself. "I'm calling it This Is Acting," she said, "because they are songs I was writing for other people, so I didn't go in thinking 'this is something I would say.' It's more like play-acting. It's fun."
She also said that the album will be far more "pop" than 1000 Forms of Fear, which took on a darker tone due to her recent history with alcoholism, drugs and anxiety.
We're sure that This Is Acting will be a worthy seventh album in a career already chock full of hits, but we do have two questions: Will dancing dynamo Maddie Ziegler continue taking the stage with her? And will we finally get to see Sia perform facing the audience again?
All will be revealed in time.
