[SOCIAL] Sir Patrick Stewart Glad The Internet Doesn't Think He's Dead Again

In an article about whether or not Ellen Page's coming out was newsworthy, The Guardian originally referenced Sir Patrick Stewart's support of his X-Men costar as "Some gay people, such as Sir Patrick Stewart, think Page’s coming out speech is newsworthy’. This should have read ‘Some people, such as Sir Patrick Stewart, think Page’s coming out speech is newsworthy."

Of course Sir Patrick isn't gay (although his best friend Sir Ian McKellen is), leading The Guardian to update the piece with a correction:

This article was amended on 17 February 2014. The third paragraph originally said ‘Some gay people, such as Sir Patrick Stewart, think Page’s coming out speech is newsworthy’. This should have read ‘Some people, such as Sir Patrick Stewart, think Page’s coming out speech is newsworthy’.

Sir Patrick is ever a good sport, tweeting @SirPatStew that it's not the worst thing he's awoken to about himself.

The world loves a good sport.
