SNL's Pete Davidson Shoots Down Anti-Trans Bathroom Myth With One Perfect Joke

"What is this fantasy that they think is going on in there?”

Pete Davidson appeared on the Weekend Update desk during this past weekend's Saturday Night Live to address Houston's Equal Rights Ordinance and its failure to get passed.

Davidson called out the scare tactics used by the right-wing to convince people that men will dress up as trans women just to get inside a woman's restroom.

He said:

“So the theory is that guys, in their relentless quest to watch women go to the bathroom, are going through years of hormone surgery, changing their names, their wardrobe, coming out to their families, all for that big payoff of peeing in a room without urinals. What is this fantasy that they think is going on in there?”

He later added that a man wouldn't need to go to such great lengths just to sneak into the women's restroom anyway.

"You can just walk in!" he said. "There’s no bouncer! The door’s right there."
