Someone Built A Gay Bar On Vladimir's Private Vacation Paradise

For a good time, visit Finland's Åland Island—and tell them Vlad sent you.

Russia is one of the worst countries in the world when it comes to discriminating against LGBT people. So its with some glee we report that politically minded vandals erected a makeshift gay "bar" on Russian President Vladimir Putin's property on the Åland islands, a popular vacation destination in Finland.

Comic duo Far & Son have taken credit for the shanty, declaring there were plenty of people on the island who would love to use it for "gay kisses, hand jobs and blow jobs."

The pair have been reported to the authorities for trespassing, and Finnish police say they're taking the incident very seriously.

“We expected a bit more of a vigorous response from the Russians and that they would immediately send the Scud missiles into the gay bar, but it seems they can’t keep up with Far & Son,” the comedians told the Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet. “They are simply cowards.”

Putin's plot on the Swedish-speaking islands was given to Russia in 1947 as part of a post-WWII peace treaty that saw German holdings in Finland passed on to what was then the Soviet Union.

Though currently uninhabited, the land is owned and operated by the Russian Foreign Ministry.
