Nando's restaurant has released a new commercial in South Africa featuring a young gay man and his mother discussing his "bachelor" status.

In the spot, part of the eatery's "Eat Interesting" campaign, Mom is quizzing her interior-designer son about "meeting the right girl." Even when Dad tells her that Junior "plays for the other team,"  she doesn't get the hint.

Oh, sweetheart, wake up!

First launched in 1987,  Nando's is a Portuguese-cuisine chain known for its perri-perri chicken, with more than  1,000 locations worldwide.
