South Carolina Introduces Anti-LGBT Bill, Reminds Everyone "We're Terrible, Too!"

"The silent majority is watching."

South Carolina State Senator Lee Bright has just introduced a new bill to the floor, which he says mirrors North Carolina's anti-LGBT stance on trans inclusion in public restrooms.

According to the bill, "Multiple occupancy bathrooms and changing facilities located on public property, including but not limited to property owned by the State, its authorities, commissions, departments, committees or agencies, or any political subdivision of the State, shall be designated for and only used by a person based on his biological sex."

The bill, named S. 1203, also specifically targets trans students, "Local school boards shall require every multiple occupancy bathroom or changing facility that is designated for student use to be designated for and used only by students based on their biological sex."

In a statement made to his fellow senators on Wednesday, Bright, who supports gun education in schools and SC secession, railed against the LGBT community and the support they've rallied in the face of hateful anti-LGBT legislation sweeping through the south.

"I just want to make a few comments about this bill. This is the same bill that passed in North Carolina and they're getting so much grief out of it," he began.

"And I've about had enough. I mean, years ago we kept talking about tolerance, tolerance and tolerance. And now they want men who claim to be women to be able to go into bathrooms with children. And you got corporations who say this is OK."

"I want to stand with North Carolina and I think you should as well," he passionately continued, "for our neighbors to the North who are showing some common decency and some common sense."

Bright went on to warn the dozens of corporations that have pulled support from the state of North Carolina that "the silent majority is watching," specifically targeting PayPal, who recently reneged on a $3.6 million expansion that would've brought over 400 jobs to the state.

"PayPal has shown its support for pedophiles by wanting them to go into bathrooms, [which] is just beyond me."

Thankfully, SC Governor Nikki Haley has already told reporters that she doesn't believe that South Carolina needs any anti-transgender legislation:

“When I look at South Carolina, we look at our situations, we’re not hearing of anybody’s religious liberties that are being violated, and we’re again not hearing any citizens that feel like they’re being violated in terms of freedoms,” Haley said.
