Police are searching for two suspects after three people were stabbed at a D.C. gay bar in the early morning hours of Sunday, June 16.

Just after 1:40am, the suspects and the victims were engaged in an argument, in the 2100 block of P Street, Northwest, when one of the suspects pulled out a knife and stabbed them before both he and the other suspect fled the scene, according to police.

The Washington Blade has identified the establishment as the gay bar The Fireplace, which Lieutenant Brett Parson, who oversees the MPD LGBT Liaison Unit, confirmed to the publication.

The victims were taken to a nearby hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries. Surveillance footage captured images of the two men, which can be found below, and anyone with information is asked to call 202-727-9099 or text the MPD's Text Tip Line at 50411.

The incident occurred around the same time a gay couple was also attacked in the city, on U Street. Carl Craven and Braden Brecht were beaten and robbed by a group of anti-gay slur hurling teenagers.

Three people, a 19-year-old man and two younger teens, have been arrested in connection with that crime. They are facing charges that include hate crimes.

Earlier this month, a black transgender woman, Zoe Spears, was shot and killed in a suburb of D.C., less than half a mile from where her friend, another black trans woman, Ashanti Carmon, was also found deceased as a result of gunshot wounds. Spears reportedly witnessed Carmon's murder, on March 30, and feared for her own life as well. There have been no arrests made thus far in connection with either case.
