Here's a first look at Star Trek Beyond. As one of the only people on the face of the earth who enjoyed Star Trek Into Darkness, I'll reserve my judgment, but i'm digging the new haircuts.

Here's the first trailer for Independence Day: Resurgance. TRIVIA: I never saw the first one.

And here's The Weekly ShoutOUT™. Each week we're going to focus on one out athlete/performer and feature a daily pic and career timeline. We'll be showcasing the big names, but also the lesser-known gay and bisexual celebs who deserve more recognition.

After recently being chastised for featuring "burned out nobodies" in The Weekly ShoutOUT™, I decided to take a look at the history of our weekly tribute. It started in March 2013, so it's almost at its third anniversary. In total we've honored 144 out male celebrities, from Matt Bomer to NPH to legends like Elton John and Ian McKellen, to possible future legends like Ben Whishaw and Sam Smith. But I didn't see a single "nobody" in the bunch. All of these honorees mean something in the history of gay pop culture, and I'll continue to spotlight their contributions.

This week our 145th! ShoutOUT™ is to ... Victor Buono

Victor Buono was just 42-years-old when he died of a heart attack in 1982, but managed to carve out his own niche in Hollywood during his career, often playing much, much older than his actual age. He was just 21 when he made his TV debut on Sea Hunt.

Three years ago I presented my personal favorite Briefs list, The 100 Greatest Lost Hits of The 80's, and because if there's one thing Hollywood has taught us, it's that sequels and reboots and remakes are ALWAYS better then the original, we're going to the well again with The 100 Greatest Lost Hits of The 80's Part 2: The Even More Forgotten

We'll be spotlighting 100 more of the greatest minor hits of the decade, the songs you don’t hear on any 80’s nostalgia show. Songs that missed the top ten, or top twenty … or top forty. Hopefully these forgotten gems may ring a long dormant bell, or for younger readers, provide a pop music history lesson.

At #47 is "Little Jackie Wants To Be A Star" by Lisa Lisa And Cult Jam

Lisa Lisa And Cult Jam hit big in 1985 with the classic "I Wonder If I Take You Home" and the top ten hit "All Cried Out," and then scored back-to-back #1 songs in 1987 with "Head To Toe" and "Lost In Emotion." But that was it for their chart fortunes, as they would make the top 40 only twice more, including the first single from their 1989 album Straight To The Sky

"Little Jackie Wants To Be A Star" peaked at #29 in May 1989.
