Yeah!! Henry Cavill finally caught the major motion picture franchise bouquet! Good work, Henry. All those years standing by the casting punch bowl finally paid off. Meet your new Superman.
You may recognize ridiculously unattractive actor, Henry Cavill, from his role as Sir Charles Brandon on Showtime’s sexxxy history lesson, The Tudors. He’ll also be appearing in the upcoming swords-and-sandals epic, “War of the Gods.” (Release the biceps, anyone?)
However, what is probably the most hilarious about Henry Cavill is not his potentially cartoon-animated jaw line, but his propensity to almost win roles in major action films as this MTV News article illustrates. He’s basically the silver medalist of the entire DC comics universe at this point.
To recap, Henry Cavill was almost cast as Batman, the Green Lantern, James Bond, Edward Cullen, AND Superman (once before.) Ladies and Gentleman, I think we have a Justice League for the 21st Century on our hands:
