It's no secret that I, like the world at large, am horrified by Brad Paisley and LL Cool J's "Accidental Racist." It's just so clumsy and seems to want to forget that real, brutal things happen because of racism throughout history, and indeed every day. It's ripe for mockery, but with topics of race, it's always a balancing act. Leave it to Stephen Colbert to find a way.

After analyzing some of the more egregious lines in the song, Stephen presents his own version, "Oopsie-Daisy Homophobe" with the Scottish-tinged rap stylings of Alan Cumming. The song does a wonderful job of uniting the horrible catch phrases from groups like the Westboro Baptist Church and the not-always-untrue stereotypes about gays.

Now is anyone free for brunch? I'm going to have to get busy if I want to fit in nine of them this week.
