Straight Man Arrested At Gay-Friendly Bar In Brooklyn After Threatening To "Come Back Orlando-Style"

Police charged the man with assault and aggravated harassment.

Police have taken into custody a Brooklyn man who vowed to "come back Orlando-style" during a fight with a bouncer outside of an LGBT-friendly bar in the Bushwick neighborhood of Brooklyn.

Witnesses say that the man, Justin Rice, 40, was hanging out at the bar, Happyfun Hideaway, with his girlfriend Monday night. When the couple started to loudly argue, the bar's bouncer came over to ask them to calm down. When Rice wouldn't lower his voice, the bouncer forced him to leave.

According to police sources, this sent Rice into a rage; as he left, he screamed “You fucking f*ggots! I'm going to shoot this place up and get my fifty just like Orlando, Florida. I’m going to come back Orlando-style!”

Rice then took a swing at the bouncer and threw a metal bucket full of sand at him. The bouncer fought back, eventually managing to restrain him until officers arrived.

Once they arrived, they arrested Rice and charged him with assault and aggravated harassment.
