First organizers of the straight pride parade in Boston failed to get a permit to take to the streets, then they had to stop using Brad Pitt's name in press materials as their chosen mascot when he objected, and now they can't even pull off a livestream.

Milo Yiannopoulos (above) was named as the new grand marshal of the parade late last week, set for an indeterminate day in August, according to the group's website.

In that press release, it promoted a YouTube livestream to be hosted by Yiannoopoulos on the last major social media platform willing to have him, where he would speak with the organizers. The same platform, it should be noted, that despite its rainbow branding says targeted racist and anti-gay harassment is okay as long as it's part of a debate.

It was to take place June 10, at 1pm. Hours later, there was still no livestream, despite viewers dutifully waiting, and chat was disabled after a number of people asked why it still hadn't begun.

Apparently partnering with a terminal failure isn't good for business after all. Oh well, better luck next time, straights. Thoughts and prayers.
