Just when you thought the Midwest was a barren wasteland void of sartorial righteousness (excuse the New York elitism), John Bartlett and his knack for creating easy menswear swoops in and saves the day. The New York based designer has teamed up with the Bon-Ton department store chain to create, Consensus, an affordable line of men’s sportswear.
Unveiled this week at New York’s Ace Hotel, a slew of models [insert: exhale] presented the Fall 2011 collection—argyle sweaters (yuck!), denim (nice) and shirting (great).
While the line isn’t awe inspiring, it does include some great basics, not to mention it will free gentlemen of middle America from double pleated chinos and stone wash jeans (sorry, more elitism).
