Once, I was sprayed with metallic paint and stood completely still for an hour in order to impersonate a famous local statue for my hometown’s sesquicentennial. I kind of looked like this.

Well, now they’re over. Did you play our drinking game? The 82nd Annual Academy Awards seemed to come and go so fast they’re already becoming a distant memory. An interpretive dance filled, Farah Fawcett snubbing, Elinor Burkett enabling, Barbara Streisand thunder-stealing memory. With gratuitous Kathy Bates shots. In fact, I’m pretty sure there was a camera aimed at Kathy Bates the entire show. I would kill to get my hands on that Bates-roll.

Now, let’s get to the most important part of any Oscars telecast: the post-show analysis of The Gowns. This year seemed to feature a lot of pale colors, elegant looks, metallics, and SASS!!!

TV has no shortage of fab fashion gays. There’s Logo’s lovely Robert Verdi (love!) and cute/addled Brad Goreski from The Rachel Zoe Project/Saw VII. There’s Tim Gunn and Mother-of-the-Bride Michael Kors on Project Runway, and there’s Vogue’s legendary Andre Leon Talley who’s joining the divine Miss J over on America’s Next Top Model. And then there’s Carson Kressley, who sort of gave birth to the modern day sassy style ‘mo as we know it. (Sorry Cojocuru; I’m on Team Carson.)

So it gives me great pleasure to welcome Malik So Chic to the mix. NYC’s own blousy, beweled bespectacled darling appears in some sidekick capacity on the forthcoming Tinsley Mortimer reality show, High Society (which would be a better name for a substance-y “Socialite Rehab” show… Oh hell, I’m calling VH1 now). The show also features another gay ‘mocialite (love that hellish term), Paul Johnson Calderone, who looks to be train-wrecky and terrible and therefore very watchable, but sorry PJC — it’s all about Malik.

Some guys just have issues with masculinity, I guess. Me? I’m happy with a big pink cupcake with rainbow-hued sprinkles, thanks very much. BUT, if you’re the sort of gay who likes to turn every endeavor into a testosterone-fueled denim-clad rad-bromance fantasy, have I got the baked goods for you!

NYC is getting its tool belt in a twist over the studly goods from Butch Bakery, an outfit that makes “cupcakes for manly men.” Really. And while it all sounds very clever and gimmicky (duh) and methinks-some-queen-doth-protest-too-much-Mary!, the actual cupcakes sound darn tasty. And they have names worthy of Titan Media releases.

The Jackhammer (I think I have that DVD) is a cupcake with chocolate hazelnut filling and hazelnut buttercream; and the B-52 (with its camouflage icing top; ahem) is kahlua-soaked madagascar vanilla cake with Bailey’s bavarian filling.

But wait… The Driller is maple cake topped with crumbled bacon (!!!) and loaded (!!!!!!!!) with milk-chocolate ganache (yes, you know you like having your ganache filled). And then finally, there’s the Beer Run, wherein “butch meets buttercream in a chocolate beer cake with beer-infused buttercream topped with crushed pretzels.”

Oh, it’s all so ridiculous. And they deliver in Manhattan, Brooklyn and (yes) Queens. Orders are getting backed up, so… Plan ahead. Better yet, just do crunches with your bro-pals until they arrive. Dude.

5. Johnny Weir is still more fabulous than you are.

So he might not have won the Gold, or even medaled, but Johnny Weir is still a fabulous, fabulous human being. The flamboyant skater held a press conference on Wednesday to address comments made by two veteran sports commentators who joked that Weir should get a gender test. Check out a video of the press conference above. The world needs more Johnny Weirs who aren’t afraid to be who they are!

4. Isabel Mastache debuts the penis trouser.

How’s this for innovative? Spanish designer Isabel Mastache kicked off Madrid Fashion week with designs that included, among other incredibly bizarre outfits, these new…pants. Hmm. These pants would be an awesome way for Lady Gaga to mock those hermaphrodite rumors. But that’s about it. Head over here to check out the rest of her show.

3. Ke$ha premiers “Blah Blah Blah” video.

Ugh, I don’t want to like Ke$ha. Her whole drunken party girl act seems forced, fake and very annoying (don’t get me started about that damn dollar sign, either). But I can’t deny that her songs are a little catchy. I definitely hated this song the first time I heard it, but now it’s grown on me. The video is quite stupid, though, which makes me a little happy. I still can’t get the song out of my head, though!

2. Rosie and Wanda have some gay girl talk.

Imagine joining these two for dinner. Woof.

On Rosie O’Donnell’s radio talk show earlier this week, funny gal Wanda Sykes called in to chit chat about how she met her wife, coming out during an anti-Prop 8 rally and her marriage in California. If I was trapped in an elevator and had to choose two people to be stuck in an elevator with…well, I’m not sure I’d pick both of them at the same time, but separately they’d probably be a lot of fun!

1. Terry Richardson photographs the Jersey Shore boys.

Looks like Mr. Richardson needs to practice a little bit more of the tanning portion of GTL.

The “sexy” boys of the Jersey Shore were photographed by controversial photographer Terry Richardson and wouldn’t you know it, all the boys took their shirts off. So last week, Snooki was inspiring fashion week designers and this week, the boys are being photographed by famous fashion photographers. What’s next, JWoww on the cover of Vogue?

“Club kids are back!” declares the NY Times right about now, as it tries to decide if Lady Gaga is responsible for a new wave of faboo avant-garde clubwear found out and about in nightlife these days. Hmmmm… Methinks, it’s the other way around, and that Gaga just steals (lovingly) from the bold looks that have been rocking downtown NYC for years. But you can peek at the article and decide.

I just saw this on a friend’s Facebook page and couldn’t resist (thanks, Daniel Nardicio). The Bea Arthur T-shirt is this spring’s fashion must-have!

There are so many awesome things about the late Bea Arthur: Maude, The Golden Girls, the fact that she left a $300,000 donation to help homeless gay youth in NYC as part of her will, and there’s this amazing number with Rock Hudson.

Expect to hear him gab about the looks of his “Whataya Want From Me” video, as well as how “big-time bondage and underground Berlin” played a role in his “For Your Entertainment” video (dig that kinky corset). He’s way into leather, rubber and combat boots. Shocker.

And yes, he has been known to cut the crotch out of his American Apparel leggings. But who hasn’t?

WonderWall interviewed Tim Gunn at Fashion Week, and thank God they did because America’s style godmother apparently had some things to get off his impeccably dressed chest.

Gunn described the hit MTV show Jersey Shore as “incendiary,” “not a style to emulate,” and the cast’s impending movie to Miami as similar to “throwing people to the lions in ancient Rome.” Maybe. But if I had to pick a lion to be thrown to, it would probably be one from South Beach.

Gunn goes on to lament the Kardashians’ “absence of taste” with their new line at Bebe, and Fashion Week’s upcoming move to Lincoln Center. Read the full, refreshingly honest interview here.

Lucky me! I’ve gotten to see the first two episodes of the new Centric TV show (the channel formerly known as BET J) Model City and it’s ridic. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a more “watchable” show. Ahem. Simply put, the guys are preposterously smoking, and you don’t hate them! Crazy!

I think my fave is veteran model Ibrahim, but Sierra Leone native Salieu is stunning and kinda tricksy… The show follows the guys as they struggle to stay on top of the modeling world (did ya know only about 2% of jobs for models go to non-white men? ouch!) in NYC. Don’t expect brainy goings-on, but do expect some hotness. Okay, expect a lot of hotness. Meet the Model City men and get excited.

This is Zeric. He’ll be your model today. Zoinks!!!

And yes, come Episode 2 you’ll get some gay intrigue. I won’t tell you exactly what it is, but strides in all hot-like. Good stuff!!!!
