Syfy Will Bring More Luke Macfarlane, Bryan Hawn Breaks Our Hearts, Josh Gad Is Roger Ebert: BRIEFS

Plus more Kentucky fallout, the new "Where The Bears Are," and "Surf Dudes With Attitude!"

Birthday shoutouts go to Babydaddy (above), who is 39, Gloria Estefan is 58, Scott Speedman is 40, Lily Tomlin is 76, and Barry Gibb is 69. Here's Barry's vastly underrated solo single from 1984, which could only manage #37 on the chart.

Josh Gad will play Roger Ebert in the upcoming Russ & Rog. "Will Ferrell is already on board to play schlock filmmaker Russ Meyer in the Michael Winterbottom-directed movie, which will chronicle the making of the 1970 satirical musical melodrama Beyond the Valley of the Dolls. Ebert was a fledging critic when he teamed up with Meyer to co-write Dolls, a B-movie about the whacked-out adventures of a female rock band; it became one of the first X-rated films ever released by a major studio and is widely regarded as a cult classic."

Here's Episode Two of Season Four of Where The Bears Are. "Determined to solve Dickie Calloway’s murder for his new Inquisitive Channel true crime TV show, Reggie bribes Nelson and Todd by offering to pay for their entire wedding if they help him solve the case. Meanwhile, Wood auditions male models for his new swimwear line called “Sporting Wood”"

Here's the latest from Bryan Hawn, his version of "Locked Up." But stay tuned after the beefcake and you'll see Bryan's touching story of his pet spotted hyena Jake, and their emotional reunion. Make sure you watch to the end for Jake's reaction. Coincidentally, I have the same reaction seeing Bryan Hawn.

Here's your easier Tuesday Puzzler. This one is "Tear It Up"

And here's The Weekly ShoutOUT™. Each week we're going to focus on one out athlete/performer and feature a daily pic and career timeline. We'll be showcasing the big names, but also the lesser-known gay and bisexual celebs who deserve more recognition. This week we give a ShoutOUT™ to ... Sal Mineo

After Rebel Without A Cause, Sal co-starred in Giant, but his next big role was in the 1958 Disney adventure film Tonka, as Sioux White Bull, who domesticates a wild horse named "Tonka," that becomes Comanche, the lone survivor of Custer's Last Stand.

Continuing the top 30 live-action TV themes/openings of the 90's! At #16 is California Dreams.

"Surf dudes with attitude!" Airing from September 12, 1992 – December 14, 1996, California Dreams was NBC's Saturday companion to Saved By The Bell, and while it was never as popular, it was a much better show. That's right, I said it. A group of teens form a band, and hijinks ensue. They wanted Michael Cade, as band manager Sly Winkle, to be the new Screech. Yeah, I don't think so.

Last year, Jimmy Fallon reunited the cast. Damn, Michael Cade must have a portrait in his attic.
