The premiere begins with the cast discussing what the summer’s roommate situation will be. Snooki announces to the cast that since she peed in her bed last year, she should get the same bed. No one argues with her.

Describing her love of pickles as an “overwhelming feeling that she cannot explain,” Snooki wastes no time and heads straight to the fridge.

Pauly D is worried that he is becoming as white as his teeth, so what is the first thing he must do? GTL of course.

After a GTL run and a visit to the barber shop, “Vinny’s a juicehead!”.

The crew returns from a night out and Deena is not too happy that Pauly D is flirting with Snooki’s friend Ryder.

This was just… awkward.

“Got your metrocard? Why, so everybody can ‘Ryder’ just like a bus route?”

These eager art-lovers really want to be first in line to view “David” at the Accademia Galleries.

A summer holiday to visit old Italy is a rite of passage for many an American. You don’t even have to be Italian to appreciate the masterpieces of Florence with its Duomo, the Uffizi galleries, Michelangelo’s David, the rustic beauty of the ancient houses perched on the Ponte Vecchio over the Arno… And Snooki’s poof.

Yup. Jersey Shore Season 4 premieres tonight. Expect a car wreck (literally, Snooki runs into an Italian cop car) and just the usual train wreck that comes with you mix Ronnie, Sammi, J-WOWW, Pauly D, Vinny, The Situation and the rest with a few drinks and the world at large.

Watch the extended trailer. It’s like being stuck on a bus tour with the worst/best fellow travelers you can imagine.

OK. Now please go watch A Room with a View, for a decidedly more romantic/prissy-fabulous take on a visit to Florence. (Maggie Smith = Snooki; and Judi Dench = J-WOWW.) Yes, Britney Spears fans! The queen of pop (can i even say that? will Madonna show up and kick me at my desk?) is gearing up to unleash a new album (Femme Fatale) and her video for her already multi-national #1 tune “Hold It Against Me,” and “dang!” are folks getting excited.

For example, everyone at MTV has their Outlook Express reminders set for 9:56pm on 2/17 as that’s when MTV is gonna spew the Jonas Åkerlund-helmed video for “HIAM” all over the face of basic cable. (It’s timed as a clever lead-in to that night’s Jersey Shore episode. And I can’t even go there with quips about “knowing your audience” and “great minds think alike, etc.”)

Right after the vid’s big MTV on-air premiere, you can expect to see it posted here — and across pretty much all MTV Networks sites. Til then, expect daily sneak peeks of the big, crazy epic-looking sci-fi-meets-Britopia video…

• Internet music video premiere of the week: Rihanna’s “Only Girl”

Oh I get it; Rihanna’s hopping around fields and other wide open, nature-y spaces alone because she’s the only girl in the world. How clever. Now somebody explain that red hair to me. I guess since Katy Perry decided to don a blue wig, Rihanna has chosen Sharon Osbourne red? At least she looks hot. And I’m glad they finally released a video; I’ve been playing this song on loop all week long!

You know, not everybody can rock a one piece, and that’s ok. Zach Galifianakis clearly knows this and clearly doesn’t care as you can see in these pictures from his upcoming Vanity Fair photo shoot. Anything for his art I guess. I will say, he is giving great face. Look at him smiling with his eyes! Tyra would be so proud.

So Joseph Gordon-Levitt isn’t the only Inception actor that’s rumored to be in the next Batman installment. The insanely dreamy Tom Hardy is now rumored to play a lead part in the next Nolan directed Bat film. Now, everybody is assuming that he’s going to play a villain, which I wouldn’t mind. I’d love to see him play an evil criminal who hypnotizes his enemies by pouting his lips. As long as tights are involved, I’ll be happy.

Is it just me or do they sound like Amy Poehler and Mya Rudolph in Bronx Beat?

Snooki and JWoww at least have a good sense of humor about themselves. At least, they think their mockery of themselves is hilarious, as you can see in this new video. Basically, they giggle a lot and go crazy on the Jersey accents. Ok, so it’s a little funny. And the real joke is on all of us, because these ladies are laughing all the way to the bank.

Oh Britney. It’s like her hair is  constant reminder of…those years.

Ah, Britney Spears and her hair. Who hasn’t had the urge to track her down and wash that mop she carries around? I love Aisha Tyler. Loved her on Friends, on The Soup, loved her in Balls of Fury (OK, I lie. Never saw it.) and I like her serving voice on Archer. But I love her even more thanks to this sneak-peek from tonight’s NewNowNext Awards on Logo.
