Tan France Brings His French Tuck to “The Great British Bake Off” Tent

It's the crossover of our dreams!

Tan France is about to trade his French tuck for a French pastry.

The Queer Eye style guru has been announced as one of 20 celeb bakers who will compete on this year’s The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up to Cancer, a special series raising money for cancer research. Since its launch in 2012, Stand Up to Cancer has raised more than £62 million.

Other celebs competing in the charitable GBBO tent are singer-songwriter James Blunt, Youtuber Joe Sugg, actor James Buckley, comedian Russell Howard, and American screen legend Richard Dreyfuss. Last year’s star lineup featured Russell Tovey, Russell Brand, and John Lithgow.

The Great Celebrity Bake Off is a key ingredient in our Stand Up to Cancer recipe,” said Sarah Lazenby, Head of Formats and Features at Channel 4. “We’ve seen the power of using comedy and entertainment to bring awareness and raise millions of pounds to fund pioneering cancer trials. We hope viewers will enjoy this year’s line-up of famous bakers, there’s never a dough moment as each bring something fresh and exciting to the tent.”

First Nailed It!, now GBBO? The Fab Five are comin’ for your kitchens!

The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up to Cancer will air later this year.

I write about drag queens. Dolly Parton once ruffled my hair and said I was "just the cutest thing ever."
