Tattoo Of Aaron Rodgers In A Jockstrap Sparks Cheers, Outrage, Lust

"This tattoo is a celebration of identity, home, and team. That’s it! " says artist Alisha Rice. "Hate and bigotry are not welcome here.”

Denver tattoo artist Alisha Rice earned our appreciation with her latest ink, a risqué illustration of Green Bay Packer quarterback Arron Rodgers, wearing a cut-off tee and jockstrap.

Rice posted a photo of her work online.

Disappointingly, the image garnered a deluge of scorn from football-loving snowflakes. "What I’m [sic] tarnation is this gay ass sh*t?" wrote one. “This is what y’all do up in Wisconsin? Don’t even look like his face and that helmet is severely f*cked. This some homo ass sh*t.”

"Aaron should confiscate this gay guys arm," added another comment. "Not cool.”

Rodgers has long been the subject of gay rumors, which didn't subside even when he briefly dated actress Olivia Munn.

"This is hilarious," wrote a commenter. "Good to see this NFL fan supports Aaron Rodgers and she knows he is a gay man. Aaron is gay and dating Nick Jonas."

And then there was the commenter who said he was "confused on why someone would want THAT of all things tatted on ya body."

"Let me break it down for you," explained Rice. "The person that got the tattoo is a gay Packers fan. That means he's attracted to men and likes football. If he were attracted to women, he might have gotten a female football pin-up. Not really sure why that is so difficult for you to understand."

Later comments were more supportive, with some thanking Rice for supporting the LGBT community. Rice later responded to the comment-storm directly in a followup Instagram, thanking the Internet for "[bringing] homophobic football fans and armchair tattoo critiques to my door."

"I am happy with the results and so is the client," she added. "You may not understand why someone would want a hunky football player tattoo, but tattooing is personal. This tattoo is a celebration of identity, home, and team. That’s it! Hate and bigotry are not welcome here.”
