Taye Diggs Does Christina Aguilera “Candyman” Drag On “Lip Sync Battle”

"He's a one stop shop, makes my cherry pop..."

Taye Diggs is no stranger to drag. The television and stage star already rocked Broadway as the lead in Hedwig and the Angry Inch, and now he has donned drag once again—this time for Xtina herself, Christina Aguilera.

This week’s episode of Lip Sync Battle is a tribute to the “Dirrrty” singer, and Diggs comes prepared to perform one of her most legendary classics, “Candyman.”

The iconic 2007 video for the song has a 1940s World War II theme, with Aguilera donning different outfits based on pin-up girls, factory workers and singers from the era.

Diggs decided to recreate her sexy sailor look from the video, and we have to admit he kinda pulls it off. Aguilera seems to agree as she cracks up watching from her giant throne onstage.

In the clip co-host Chrissy Teigen admits that there is a lot going on with Diggs’ outfit, but she can’t get over his socks, which pulls it all together.

Maybe he can recreate the “Dirrrty” video next?

Watch Diggs’ perform the number for Aguilera in the clip below.

Lip Sync Battle airs Thursdays at 10/9c on Paramount Network.

I write about drag queens. Dolly Parton once ruffled my hair and said I was "just the cutest thing ever."
