Our favorite online musical theater troupe have found group and personal success across the web recently. First up, the entire team released their Apocalyptour Live CD last Tuesday and promptly climbed to #7 on the Pop Album charts.

The album recreates their Apocalyptour, a primarily west-coast jaunt that brought the StarKids off the computer screen and into rock and roll venues.  The live version was filmed live at one of their three dates in Los Angeles this summer, the only downside being it wasn’t the show where original member Darren Criss joined to perform some additional songs (we’d love a recorded version of “Home!”)  The tracks we do get, however, are spectacular — a mix of tunes from their various productions with new arrangements by musical director Clark Baxtresser. A DVD of the tour will also be released October 30th.

Meanwhile, StarKid member Lauren Lopez (you might know her as Draco Malfoy) is working on a gluten-free cookbook and turned to Kickstarter to help fund the project.  The project video is, hands down, one of the funniest we’ve ever seen!

She’s already surpassed her goal, but donates make the project even more delicious!
