Tease Spice Geri Halliwell Is Talking About The Epic Spice Girls Reunion Tour!
At least one member of the greatest musical group that was ever formed is starting to embrace her superfandom and the insanity that ensued last month, after a British tabloid dropped a bombshell report that the group would reunite (sans one) for an epic world tour next year.
According to The Sun, The Spice Girls are insistent that they will reunite to mark the 20th anniversary of their debut single, "Wannabe."
Geri Halliwell, aka Ginger Spice, aka “Sexy Spice” (if you were one of those kids), aka The Spice Girls member who dramatically peaced out of the group in 1998, confirmed in an interview Tuesday that the record-breaking ladies who introduced the world to Girl Power are currently “in talks” to reunite.
You can officially freak out now!!
“I think it's really flattering that people are still supportive of the Spice Girls individually and collectively, that's beautiful, it's really nice,” Halliwell said when quizzed about the rumored world tour.
Geri indicated she’d be down for a reunion, which wouldn’t include Victoria Beckham, who previously gave the girls her blessing for a reunion tour without her. She claims she’s too busy to go on supporting the group that gave her everything.
“It almost feels you know that it [the Spice Girls] belongs to everyone, like a generation,” said Halliwell. “So I think it's one of those things that's been discussed, but until it's concrete I wouldn't announce it.”
Oh, Geri. We know better! We’ll see you from the front row next year!
