Burning Man is full of bugs, bros, and more unfiltered nudity than you can imagine. There must be enough material there for a musical, right?

Right!

A handful of revelers who burned their life savings in Black Rock City this year are working on a Rent meets Hair-type musical that'll share their experience with those who can't afford life on the Playa — it's called Burning Man: The Musical.

The techie bros behind the show are asking for $20,000 on Indiegogo to fund the first part of this "multi-year" project, which includes two original songs and two music videos featuring "theater actors in NYC."

"We're developing this new musical a couple songs at a time, and we're serializing new songs from it on YouTube," project founder Matt Werner writes. "We're using the lessons we've learned in producing the opening number to successfully write, record, and film the next two songs over the next 6 months."
