Teddy Geiger went platinum with the 2006 hit “For You I Will (Confidence),” but it’s the next chapter of the star’s life that may be the most exciting yet.
When a fan asked on social media this week why Geiger has looked different lately, the singer-songwriter gave an unexpectedly honest reply: “I am transitioning.”
“Love it or hate it, this is who I’ve been for a long time,” Geiger wrote in a heartfelt response, which was then shared as a separate Instagram post.
Geiger has remained a major player in the music scene since the success from 2006, co-writing songs for One Direction and, most recently, helping to pen a majority of Shawn Mendes’ tracks.
Mendes, whose MTV Unplugged performance from September is being released as an album on November 3, responded to the post with the words “Love u” and a heart emoji.
